The BACK STRAP was designed to work with the NEW 2020 Guide Light MT™ frame and NEW 2020 Pop Up frames. It replaces the packbag for simplifying and lightening the load on those successful backcountry hunts when you are packing out multiple trips. Swap out your packbag after your first packout with the BACK STRAP and use this to haul out the next loads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cajun Cracker from More uses than marketed for.This is a must accessory for the new frame as it has so many useful applications. No doubt it will haul meat out; and do it comfortably, but so far it has been exceptional for tree stand carry close to your back. I use a small day bag as an attachment to the outer section of webbing. This makes this system a quick set up in case the hogs and deer moved early. I'll post additional info as it gets validated, and I do have a couple of future applications for this set up to haul all our dove stools, dove decoys and camo netting. I additionally plan on using this pack and strap for early Teal season as well. If there is one improvement to be made, I encourage Mystery Ranch to create a small bag for the straps outside and even consider making a Whitetail bag option to better accommodate using the frame with a bag; I own the Whitetail pack and as much as I love it, it doesn't haul a tree stand very well. Are you listening MR? I know you can do it.

I do a lot of day hunts for whitetail on public ground and this gives me load hauling capability with my existing frame when I don’t need my bag. Excellent idea and blaze orange is a great touch. It is bulletproof like all Mystery Ranch Products.

One carried a front qtr, the other a hind qtr. Both did exactly as exoected and I highly recommend it for 1 first time short haul or your 2nd trip way in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Todd from I didn't read the discription, that's my bad.I didn't realize when it said "2020 frame" that it was going to have different snaps than my 2017 frame. Other than that, it's a perfect fit. Luckily I had some quick release straps I pirated the snaps off to make it work. All's well that ends well and I'm happy with the quality of product. It just ended up costing some quick release straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Retired Marine from I expect it'll do the jobThough I haven't yet had the chance to try it in the field, I hope to make use of the Back Strap this upcoming elk season. I have, however, gone through the mechanics of using it by testing it out with a 50 lb bag of fertilizer and had no issues. It is well-made to the Mystery Ranch standards and will take up minimal room in my Metcalf until the time comes to load meat. Hopefully, more to follow....
